In this article, you will learn how to buy and sell SPL tokens on Raydium.io and we will give you some tips and tricks to maximize your profit.
First of all, navigate to "Swap" using the Raydium Menu or simply click the link below to open the Raydium Swap page, then connect your wallet.
Most of the new tokens are initialized with permissionless pools on Raydium. Because of that, you need to turn on token sources.
Click to "Select a token" button,
Click to "View Token Lists" button,
Turn on Solana Token List and Permissionless Pool Tokens.
Now you are able to see all the tokens and the pools listed on the Raydium.
When you choose a token, Raydium may ask you to accept the risk warning. This is a system that is generally implemented in all Defi protocols.
Before the swap, you need to change the slippage tolerance. We recommend using %1 slippage in most of the scenarios.
When you select the token you want to swap, Enter the amount of tokens you wish to swap. Finally, click Swap!
After you click to Swap, a phantom wallet pop-up will be opened. There are two different views of approve page.
If the approve page looks like the 1st image, the transaction will most likely be approved. But if it looks like the 2nd image, it will most likely get an error. For this reason, it does not make much sense to approve the transaction if it looks like the 2nd image.
So if you see the 2nd cancel the transaction, update the price, and try again.
Raydium has an auto-refresh feature but we can refresh manually with to press the button on the picture above. When you click to refresh button you need to wait a little time and change the amount after the price update. If you will not change the amount, you may use the older price data for the swap and get an error again.
When the transaction is confirmed you should see the transaction notification on the left down corner of the screen.
